Medford Resilience-Based Emergency Management Planning

Medford, MA

Linnean worked with the City of Medford’s Board of Health and Emergency Manager to help align Medford’s emergency management and hazard mitigation efforts with the City’s climate resilience planning.

These services were built on findings emphasized during the City’s Municipal Vulnerability (MVP) Workshop (March 7, 2018), and expanded upon and strengthened the City’s efforts to identify and reach vulnerable populations, particularly with respect to reducing the impact of hazards from climate change.

This work supported future updates to the Emergency Management Plan (2004) and Hazard Mitigation Plan (2017), enhanced alignment between the Office of Energy and Environment and the Board of Health, and began to help the City integrate resilience thinking into its emergency management and hazard mitigation planning.
