Vitality Estates Beverly Assisted Living Health-Centric Design

Vitality Estates Beverly Assisted Living is a residential facility designed to create a new standard of healthy homes for people to age in place. Linnean joined the Vitality team as sustainability consultants in 2016, working with Integrative Design expert Bill Reed to develop a sustainability program that incorporated design, construction, and post-construction guidelines that focus on the health and wellness of the building’s occupants.
Linnean created a customized set of criteria to specifically create an environment that facilitates health for aging residents, while also defining new sustainability standards within the assisted living industry.
This was done by incorporating ideas and practices established in current green building standards—including, but not limited to, LEED v4, the Architecture 2030 Challenge, Living Building Challenge v3, and WELL v1. Linnean was also essential in facilitating the design process through coordinating communication, points of interaction between team members, and deliverables through the Integrative Design Process.
