Living Building Challenge Certification
The Hitchcock Center for the Environment
The Living Building Challenge requires considerable innovation in design and construction to achieve certification, including collecting all potable water on-site, treating wastewater on-site through natural ecological systems, producing renewable energy on-site, and verifying the projects meets the design performance. Linnean is the sustainability consultant for the new educational center for Hitchcock Center for the Environment, and in addition to documenting the certification process, is designing a dashboard to show real-time energy and water data for the building.
